About Us

I am Calina and I was born and raised in Denver. I have a regular nine to five job but that is so boring! What I really want to talk about is books! I am a life-long reading addict. I began voraciously consuming any book I could get my hands on and never really stopped. Nowadays I enjoy most every genre of book with the exception of biographies and memoirs. Not only do I enjoy reading, but I love sharing that passion with others and having a podcast where I can talk about books with my best friend has been amazing!

Saylet here, checking in from Denver. I’m a 40-something mama to tween twin boys, married to my amazing husband Daniel for over 20 years—and yes, I still really, really like him. I’m an active member of the Cambodian community here in Colorado, I do contract work for nonprofits, and in my downtime, you’ll usually find me gaming, crafting, or—no surprise—reading. That’s what brought me here! My best friend Calina and I started this podcast to create a fun, open space where we can talk freely about our interests, our fears, our sexuality, and our deep love for all kinds of stories.
